Midsummer is celebrated around the globe at the solstice—the longest day of the year, when light lingers and the boundary between day and night softens.
This painting captures the shifting colours of that extended summer moment: the glow of sunrise spreading over the ocean, layers of blue and turquoise interrupted by bursts of warm orange and green.
Through abstracted forms and gestural marks, the work reflects both the calm and energy of midsummer—light held in balance, movement suspended in time.
